Once again tho, I don't really know how much grey shade is tolerable for your dress code, but I would think this style could pass for an all black shoe. The schools must know how difficult it is to acquire all black designs in shoes nowadays and should conform a little. But that is just my opinion, so maybe showing the school a picture of the shoe might help to get you a definite answer.
