There is a very fine line in the differences of crosstrainers and some running shoes. Most times the uppers of trainers are built a little heavier because there is more support for lateral cuts & moves, yet the midsoles and outsoles can be very similar. So they can be used for running, they just might feel a little heavier than most running shoes. The women's Nike In-Season Trainer can be used for a variety of training exercises, including practices, track drills, jogging/walking routines, aerobics, or can be worn for casual wear. There is reflectivity built into the shoe for safety while running, a comfortable sockliner with memory foam cushioning for added support, traction on most surfaces, and even has a water resistant coating.
