Hyperfuse gets introduced to the Shox women’s running line in the Nike Shox Roadster. The Hyperfuse upper adds strength, durability, ventilation and a sleek look, while the Shox outsole adds a bounce-back feel with every stride. Main Features
Weight: 12.7 ounces (women’s 7).
Hyperfuse construction in the upper is a composite of mesh and synthetic materials that are fused together using a hot-melt process to create a nearly seamless, one-piece upper that is lightweight, breathable and durable.
An internalized Phylon midsole provides lightweight, flexible cushioning for a smooth ride and transition.
Deep, wide flex grooves in the outsole encourage a more neutral, efficient range of motion through toe-off.
Additional Information For years, Nike has been providing runners with ideal impact protection and comfort with its Shox™ technology. In the Nike Shox Roadster, the Shox™ technology is constructed in a four-column configuration at the heel. These “columns” are made of highly resilient urethane foam and are designed to maximize cushioning and stability. A sculpted Pebax® plate on top of the Shox™ columns distributes impact pressure more evenly across the heel for additional support around the rearfoot. A Pebax® plate under the Shox™ columns allows each individual column to respond independently on impact, creating a smoother transition from contact to midstance. Deep, wide flex grooves in the outsole run the length and width of the forefoot. They’re specifically aligned to encourage a more neutral, efficient range of motion through toe-off. Below the Shox™ columns, BRS 1000 carbon rubber resists abrasion in this particular high-wear area.
