Questions & Answers for Nike Zoom Maxcat 4 - Men's

Question

Has the spike plate changed?

I had an earlier version of this spike, the Nike Maxcat II. The spike plate dug into my arch because I'm relatively flat-footed. This spike plate looks very similar, if not identical, to that of the Maxcat II. I'm wondering if the spike plate of the Maxcat 4 had been updated, or if it was conserved from the Maxcat II and the only thing that changed from version to version was the upper.

The Nike Zoom Maxcat 2 - Men's, featured a 5 pin spike configuration and a unique "Zytel" three fingered plate for increased traction. The Nike Zoom Maxcat 4, will feature a three-fingered "Pebax" plate for a more natural range of motion. Also, the upper on the "4" is updated with dynamic Flywire technology (midfoot lockdown).
